Nick Butcher

Managing Director of Ignition Human Performance

Founder of Ignition Human Performance, with a background in HR, Learning & Development and Change Management.

Starting his career in the Automotive industry for HWM, the oldest Aston Martin Dealership in the world, Nick has never been far away from things that have four wheels and an engine! Throughout his career he has focused on delivering effective People Strategies that unlock a High-Performance Culture within a business, as well as a number of Change Management Projects for both SME and Multinational Businesses.

He has also developed and delivered Leadership & Teamwork Programmes looking to add an “F1 Attitude” for, amongst others, 3x Formula One World Champion Sir Jackie Stewart OBE’s charity Race Against Dementia. The charity funds postgraduate PHD Scientific Dementia Research Fellows at Universities across the world. This project included collaboration with members from the McLaren and Mercedes Formula 1 teams.

A Chartered Member of the CIPD, with a Level 7 Post Graduate Diploma from Kingston University in International HR Management. In 2022, he also joined the Trustee Board of halow project, a charity co-founded by 1996 Formula One World Champion Damon Hill OBE, who work with young adults with learning disabilities - becoming Chairman in 2024.

Tristan Niesslein

Focus: Future of Sustainability and Climate Action within Motorsport

Tristan is an ESG/sustainability specialist working in the sport sector, with a particular focus on opportunities in motorsport to deliver innovation and transformation across industries. Tristan’s background in commercial, operational and strategic positions in a variety of sectors has equipped him to apply a broad knowledge to sustainable development in motorsport and beyond.

Tristan is able to identify the areas where ‘elite’ performing organisations require support to transform their operations to reduce their impact, this coupled with almost 20 years of process excellence, people and project management experience, qualifies Tristan to bring sustainability into any organisation, through understanding the entire value chain and its impacts.

Utilising technical knowledge in GHG reduction, life cycle assessment, supply chain management, continuous improvement and partnership creation, the business benefits of sustainable operations are articulated for the best outcomes.

Tristan continues his own academic research and is currently engaged in multiple research projects to support deep sustainability adoption in sports and motorsport, including future fuels, mega-events and organisational culture.

Since his company, Niesslein Sustainability Partners was founded in late 2019, Tristan has engaged with high performing teams and individuals across sport, supporting world-class outcomes, Tristan has also delivered guest speaking appearances at a leading university, supporting business leaders towards sustainability in their operations and to see the commercial benefit in doing so and continues his professional development at Cambridge University.

A sustainability generalist with years of experience and a ‘climate optimist’, Tristan makes the journey to sustainable outcomes such as Net Zero, accessible, achievable and enjoyable, for teams or events of any size.

Jeremy Taylor

Formerly of Williams F1 Advanced Engineering, where he translated learnings from Motorsport to help clients improve their own performance, working on projects in manufacturing, rail transport, aerospace, defence and automotive. He also has an emerging focus on applying Motorsport performance improvement techniques to delivering sustainability objectives.

Jeremy brings 16 years’ experience combining external consulting across a broad range of industries – including retail, leisure, FMCG, media and B2B services – and internal strategy roles at Jaguar Land Rover, Inchcape and Sainsbury’s. Additionally, he has hands-on experience as Brand Director of two Porsche retail centres and as Director of Operational Excellence for an automotive fleet company.

Ryan McGarva

Ryan was most recently part of the Mercedes AMG F1 team pit stop crew and Lewis Hamilton’s car crew. The Mercedes AMG F1 team and Lewis Hamilton are one of the most successful partnerships the sport has seen, achieving 8consecutive constructors titles and 7 drivers titles. Ryan shares valuable recent insight into what made the team so successful, having worked there until early 2022.

With 10 years of F1 experience, having progressed through the ranks from HRT to Force India and finally to Mercedes, Ryan has seen what it takes to win. He shares his experiences, as part of a pit crew working under pressure. He also looks at the team and explains how they used data and an open honest analysis of failure to stay at the front in one of the worlds most competitive sports.

He has worked with an impressive roster of drivers including: Lewis Hamilton, Valtteri Bottas, George Russell, Sergio Perez, Esteban Ocon, Nico Hülkenberg, Adrian Sutil and Pedro de la Rosa.

Stephanie Travers

Stephanie Travers is the Senior Development Officer at Mission 44, the charitable foundation set up to build a more inclusive education system, and the Deputy Team Principal for the Extreme E Team X44 (both Mission 44 and X44 were founded by 7x F1 World Champion, Sir Lewis Hamilton MBE).

A former Senior Trackside Fluid Engineer who co-managed the Petronas Trackside Laboratory, which is an integral part of the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team infrastructure. Stephanie is a pioneer, being not only the first female engineer within Petronas but she would go on to be chosen to represent the Mercedes team on the Podium at the Styrian Grand Prix in 2020, to collect the winning constructor’s trophy. This was a historic moment as she became the first black female on the podium in Formula One.

Stephanie is very passionate about education and specifically ensuring that future female engineers are exposed to the myriad of career opportunities and is passionate about diversity and inclusion in the racing sphere.

Nicole Bearne

Nicole Bearne has 25 years’ experience of Board-level operations in the fast-paced world of Formula One Motor Racing. As Executive Assistant to Ross Brawn, she was an integral part of the Brawn GP team's leadership during the unforgettable 2009 championship-winning season. For the last 10 years she has been Head ofInternal Communications, Employee Events and Corporate Social Responsibility at the 8-time World Championship winning Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team.

Nicole’s experience encompasses employee communication and engagement within high-performance teams in the world’s most technologically advanced sport.

Nicole holds a Masters’ degree in Organisational Behaviour. She is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (MCIPR), the Institute of Internal Communications and an Accredited PR Practitioner.

In June of this year Nicole set up The Comms Exchange to help organisations design Internal Communications andEmployee Experience strategies that maximise employee engagement, foster teamwork, and enhance organisational performance.

Gerry Convy

Gerry has been involved with Motor racing since 1999. He started on this path with a unique perspective as Sir Jackie Stewart’s Personal Trainer for 3 years. He travelled with SJYS to racetracks and business trips absorbing all the lessons and stories shared by the legendary World Champion and Team Owner.

He spent 8 years in F1 McLaren-Mercedes and Force India.

He worked with many top F1 drivers including: David Coulthard, Juan-Pablo Montoya, Fernando Alonso and Paul Di Resta.

He also trained 3-Time Indy Car Champion and 4-time Indy 500 winner Dario Franchitti for the last 2 years of his career.

He has since worked in many series including developing both teams and drivers.

Today, Gerry links his considerable knowledge and experience in physical and mental preparation with the collective performance of teams. Particularlyhelping Pit Crews prepare for and execute high performance Stops under pressure via training and analysis.

He also had a spell in the Military and is a Martial Arts and Self Protection Coach with 3 Black Belts in 3 different disciplines.

All transferrable skills and mindset to any high-performance environment.

Timo Glock

Timo Glock, is renowned for his meticulous performances on the F1 circuits, touring car racing and his unmatched expertise as a TV broadcast expert within the formula 1 racing world.

Hailing from Germany, Timo Glock's ascent in the motorsport realm was nothing shortof meteoric. Cutting his teeth in various Formula racing junior leagues, he clinched theChamp Car "Rookie of the Year" accolade in his debut U.S. year. Progressing with fervor, he claimed the GP2 championship's crown and ultimately etched his name in the elite annals of Formula 1.

He showcased his prowess, racing against the best, leaving an indelible mark during his tenure with teams such as Toyota and Marussia Virgin Racing. In his 91 Formula 1 starts, he achieved several podium finishes. But beyond the glitz of F1, his decade-long commitment as a works driver for BMW in the DTM speaks volumes. Over 146 races, Glock showcased grit and skill, clinching 5 wins and securing 15 podium finishes. These accolades don't just reflect his racing acumen but also highlight his role as a sterling ambassador for BMW, eloquently presenting their brand values to vast audiences, whether it's on the track or on the stage.

Transitioning seamlessly from the cockpit to the studio, Timo Glock offers expert analysis for Sky Germany's PAY-TV, broadcasting detailed insights into the world of F1 to a vast audience. Prior to this, from 2017-2020, Glock worked for RTL, dissecting and discussing races, strategies, and all things F1.

Harry Sherrard

A storyteller offering a unique perspective on otherwise well known topics, Harry delivers talks on motoring and historical topics that harness a lifetime's interest and passion, and are supported by intensive research.

Harry was born in Northern Ireland, and his interests in motoring and history were established during his schooldays. After moving to England, Harry qualified as a lawyer, and established his own legal practice. In parallel, Harry's dedication to all things motoring saw him compete extensively, become a demonstration driver for Aston Martin, and race in the Goodwood Revival, amongst many other adventures.

In 2014 Harry published his motoring biography, Taking Part, which in turn led to many speaking engagements. He has developed his portfolio of motoring and historic talks to embrace subjects through which audiences appreciate his knowledge and enthusiasm.

With an immersive, smart and authoritative style, Harry's talks illuminate, educate and entertain.

Talia Lazarus

Talia is Sports Presenter and Host of I Got Back Up a podcast that connects with people who have faced life-changing events, traumas, and recoveries, having spoken to a number of athletes including former and current racing drivers on the show.

In 2021, Talia was in a road accident that left her unable to walk. Two knee surgeries later and re-learning how to walk in her mid-twenties, her life completely changed direction. Talia learnt that it’s not what happened to you, but it’s what you decide to do next.

We can be confronted with unexpected challenges and moments that defeat us. It’s during these dark times we question everything and lose ourselves. But the human spirit possesses an immense strength that allows us to rise above the darkest moments and find the courage to rebuild our lives in extraordinary ways.

Running the London Landmarks Half Marathon a year after her second knee surgery, Talia reinforces the belief that anything is possible and that our minds are incredibly powerful.

Molly Taylor

Molly Taylor is a true pioneer having won a number of accolades in motorsport including the Australian Rally Championship, European Ladies Championship and the Peter Brock Medal. She was also the inaugural winner (World Champion) of the Extreme E Series (the world’s first gender equal motorsport series) and the first Australian woman to ever drive the challenging Dakar Rally (twice). It’s safe to say that Molly Taylor has some stories to tell.

Her epic adventures and daredevil stunts are the stuff of legends and in these presentations, she tells them candidly with audiences clamouring for more.

Motorsport is the ultimate test of teamwork and winning takes absolute trust and confidence – in yourself, in your car, in your co-driver and in your team. Your ability to work efficiently under pressure, communicate effectively and know your role is critical to success just as it is in any work environment. Molly educates audiences on the power of each member of the team knowing their role, the impact it can create, and the risks when it doesn’t.

Molly shares her journey to the top, the lessons she’s learnt and how success on track is about more than just what goes on under the helmet and inside the car.

Ludovic Peze

Ludovic’s personal journey and gradual rise in the motorsport industry is a compelling story that shows his tenacity and smarts, drive, fearlessness, and willingness to go against the odds.

Qualities are shared by both skilled racing pilots and thriving entrepreneurs. He was born in Monaco into a family where motorsport was the activity that brought food to the table as his father worked for years as a mechanic including in karting and F3 circuits.

At a young age, he had the opportunity to visit the races, mingle with the drivers, and run around the pit stops. This early exposure to car racing has incubated his passion for cars, race car driving, and motorsports. At 21, he caught meningitis, was in a coma with an official report that he may not survive. Ludovic fought the disease and prevailed which resulted in forming two major interests in his life. The first one is his ongoing support for initiatives dedicated to eradicating or preventing meningitis and promoting Diversity and Inclusion in Motorsport

The second interest that grew while still ill with meningitis, was to build his own motorsport management company.

So, in 2014, now hale and healthy once again after a long period of physical rehabilitation, Ludovic made his dream come true and created ‘Motors Formula Team’ in Monaco and with offices in his mother’s country Mauritius. Ludovic holds a MBA in motorsport leadership and has worked with some huge names in Motorsport including Mika Häkkinen, Pascal Wehrlein (F1/ DTM Champion and Formula E World Champion 2024) and Theo Pourchaire (F2 2023 champion) to name just a few.

Motors Formula Team or MFT is a company dedicated to FIA-approved training, coaching, management, and an extensive set of services for a sustainable and inclusive racing team.

Mark Arnall

Focus: Fitness and Nutrition, travel management and jet lag – how to arrive in the best shape to perform at your best. Maintaining health and wellbeing on the road.

Mark Arnall is a world-renowned fitness expert with a career in F1 that has spanned 26 years. In that time, he has worked as performance coach for Mika Häkkinen (5 years), David Coulthard, Kimi Räikkönen (20 years) and most recently in 2022 Sebastian Vettel. During his career Mark has also worked with legendary F1 teams McLaren, Ferrari, Lotus, Alfa Romeo and Aston Martin.

Creating tailor-made training, recovery, nutrition, and travel management programs, Mark ensures drivers are in optimum condition at every race. This is no easy task when the F1 calendar requires 240 travel days per year across all time zones! Yet the results speak for themselves; to date Mark has won three World Championships and 215 podiums with his drivers.

Mark has also worked with athletes in the British Athletics team, British Fencing team, members of the England Rugby team as well as renowned artists and top executives seeking health and fitness advice. He is also the co-founder of Travel FIT.

Matt Bishop

Focus: Communications, Diversity, LGBTQ+ Inclusivity

Matt Bishop is a Formula 1 communications expert, journalist, editor, biographer and novelist whose long career encompasses spells in senior positions on many well known publications such as Car, Autosport and F1 Racing.

Matt was also Editorial Director of Haymarket Motorsport Publications before heading to McLaren Racing in 2008 as Chief Communications Officer, working closely with Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button and Fernando Alonso.

Joining the W Series as Communications Director in 2018, overseeing the successful global launch of the revolutionary all-female racing championship.

In 2020, he moved to Aston Martin to oversee the launch of its Formula One team as Chief Communications Officer. Here, Matt worked closely with Aston Martin’s number-one driver Sebastian Vettel on a series of ground-breaking media initiatives focusing on diversity, inclusion and the environment.

Matt is a founder ambassador of Racing Pride, which was set up in collaboration with Stonewall in 2019 to promote LGBTQ+ inclusivity within the motorsport industry

He co-wrote double Formula 1 world champion Emerson Fittipaldi’s 2014 autobiography Emmo: a Racer’s Soul. And Matt’s first novel (with LGBTQ+ themes), The Boy Made the Difference, was published in August 2020.

Mark Blundell

Focus: Leadership, Teamwork, Building a Business and Performance Mindset

After progressing his way through the junior ranks, Mark enjoyed a distinguished career at the very top of the sport. 61 starts in Formula One brought multiple podium finishes whilst racing for the likes of McLaren, Brabham, Ligier and Tyrrell across a golden era for the sport. Alongside his Formula One duties, Mark enjoyed immense sportscar success most notably taking a memorable pole position at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1990 before taking the outright victory in 1992.

Mark also became one of the very first British drivers to enjoy a great deal of success in the United States, taking on the very best that IndyCar had to offer enjoying multiple wins along the way.

Stepping away from elite racing, Mark was a part of ITV’s BAFTA-award winning Formula One coverage from 2003 to 2008 and has established himself as one of Europe’s most recognised motorsport managers through his role as CEO of market-leading sports management group, MB Partners. Alongside this, he is now also Sporting Director for MB Motorsport in BTCC

Alex Brundle

After enjoying a childhood steeped in motorsport, Alex has followed the footsteps of his father Martin rising through the single-seaters to become a championship-winning driver in Endurance Racing.  Becoming a nine-time competitor in the Le Mans 24-hour race with two podium finishes and a European Le Mans Series Championship to his name; has given Alex a unique insight into the teamwork, endurance, strategy and planning required to be successful at a world-class level. In recent years Alex has continued active professional racing in SportsCar and GT competition, paired with a path in motorsport broadcasting; Analysing F3, F2 and F1 for F1TV, and other major motorsport events for a wide range of broadcasters.

The world of modern motor racing requires not only ability and endurance on track but skill in sales, marketing and an understanding of where opportunity is to be found or made! Forcing racers to think outside the box to secure funding and opportunity nurtures a distinctive skillset while retaining the pure sporting focus on track to convert this opportunity into sporting results puts mental agility at a premium.

Vicki Butler-Henderson

Focus: Fun on four wheels, motivating passion for motoring and motorsport, racing career and TV presenting

Racing from the age of 12, Vicki’s passion for four wheels is the foundation of her career - she is at her driving happiest when she makes a car dance.

She is a presenter for ‘Fifth Gear Recharged’ (Discovery/Quest) and ITV4’s classic car show, ‘The Car Years’. She also has a You Tube channel, Vicki Butler-Henderson The CAR Girl.

Vicki held the position of presenter of BBC TV’s Top Gear for five years, and has been a Road Tester for Auto Express and What Car? magazines, as well contributing to The Sunday Times and Saturday Telegraph, and many other publications since the age of 17.

Vicki has hosted many global car launches and major events for the best car manufacturers and high-profile non-automotive brands.

Vicki is also an auctioneer for Historics Auctions, hitting the gavel on many classic car sales.

Vicki started racing 100cc karts against the likes of Formula One star David Coulthard and Indycar Champion Dario Franchitti when she was 12, and still races today in whatever she can get her helmet into – from supercars to saloons.

As part of one of the support races for the British Formula One Grand Prix at Silverstone in the early noughties, Vicki became the first woman to win a Maserati race in the history of the marque. She’s also a former racing instructor and has taught hundreds of petrol heads and celebrities the fastest way round a circuit over the years.

She owns a Ducati Monster motorbike on which she is "really fast in a straight line…"

Karun Chandhok

Focus: Drive and Determination, Teamwork, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Broadcasting & Journalism

Karun Chandhok is one of only two Indian drivers to compete in Formula 1 and one of the best known broadcasters in the sport today.  Born into a family which was steeped in motor sport history, Karun rose through the ranks of junior formulae racing to become test driver for the Red Bull Racing Formula 1 team in 2007/8. He then competed in the Formula 1 World Championship for Hispania Racing Team and Team Lotus in 2010 and 2011.

Today he is an expert analyst for Sky Sports F1, broadcasting to 62 countries. He previously broadcast for Star Sports in Asia, BeIN Sports in Qatar, BBC 5 Live Radio and Channel 4 TV in the UK.  His deep insights and superb delivery make him one of the most popular broadcasters in Formula 1. As a result, he can speak about any aspect of this demanding sport, particularly given his wide range of experience from across the industry.

Karun sits on the Board of Motorsport UK, the national governing body of motorsport and one of the key members of the world’s governing body, the FIA. He is a member of Motorsport UK’s Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Committee and also devotes time to working on the development of junior single seater formulae.

Bernie Collins

Focus: Pressure point decisions, Multitasking under pressure, Communication, Psychological Safety, Building a team

Most recently employed as Head of Race Strategy at Aston Martin F1 team, Bernie has 13 years experience working within the Formula One industry. She has travelled to or supported F1 races over a period of 9 seasons across strategy and performance engineering functions. Her previous F1 experience was gained at McLaren Racing. Bernie’s role has seen her leading race strategy decisions from the pitwall that have directly influenced the results of both drivers and team. Balancing information flow from the drivers, engineers and support team in mission control as well as reacting to external events. Bernie was previously selected as one of the ‘30 under 30’ young rising stars of manufacturing for the Make it in Great Britain campaign and named in The Manufacturer Top 100 UK Role Models.

In 2023, Bernie joined the Sky Sports F1 team at selected races to add her race strategy knowledge and experience to their presenter & punditry line up.

David Coulthard

One of the world’s most widely recognised sports personalities, David Coulthard is a renowned Formula 1 Grand Prix driver, television broadcaster, author and entrepreneur.  

Since retiring with 13 Grand Prix victories driving for Williams, McLaren and Red Bull Racing, his business interests include co-founding Whisper, one of Europe’s fastest growing media production companies, and Velocity Experience which develops and produces branded corporate events. In 2019 David became non-Executive Chairman of W Series, the world’s first professional all-women single seater racing series, and he is President of the British Racing Drivers Club which owns and operates Silverstone Circuit in the UK.

In 2007 David published his autobiography It Is What It Is and in 2018 his second book The Winning Formula made the Sunday Times Best Seller list in the UK. In 2010 he was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE).

James Dornor

Focus: Teamwork, Psychological Safety, Diversity & Inclusion - How leaders can create an inclusive environment.

Most recently Electronics Support Engineer at Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 in the Heritage department responsible for maintaining all on and off car electronics & systems on a wide range of retired cars (2022-2013) driven by the likes of Sir Lewis Hamilton MBE .  He has a combination of 13 years experience working across automotive & motorsports industries. He featured in “The Hamilton Commission Report” & interactive smart video as well as speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live about the state of diversity in F1 in 2021.

James got his break into the industry back in 2010 working at McLaren Automotive then progressed through a career pathway that led to him working within F1, he lead the development on McLaren GT Sprint GT3 (650S) and GT4 (570S) projects as well as Customer Support Engineer for GT3 race cars until 2017 where he got his chance trackside at Systems Engineer for Haas F1 before getting the call up to join McLaren Racing in 2018 working with Lando Norris in his test & rookie season.

An accolated of firsts for the industry is that he has founded Driven By Us CIC which has gained club recognition status by Motorsport UK supporting ethnic monitories & women increasing accessibility and awareness in STEM & Media career role, providing an education from grassroots to elite F1 level. Notably, her role in pitstop analysis resulting in the World Record in 2016 for the fastest ever pitstop in F1 at 1.92seconds.

Combining her experience within the pinnacle of motorsport engineering, Gemma has also lead a number of projects taking F1 technology out into the medical industry. Mark Gallagher

Mark Gallagher has held senior roles in the high performance environment of Formula 1 motor racing during a 30 year career. Today he is an author, broadcaster and industry analyst who continues to work with drivers and teams at the forefront of this global sport. He is also a renowned public speaker and since 1998 has provided compelling keynote presentations and insights to organisations world wide.

Mark’s executive management career in Formula 1 included more than a decade on the management board of the successful Jordan Grand Prix team, running the world famous Cosworth engine business and helping establish the commercial arm of Red Bull Racing.

Mark has been a member of the technical working groups within the sport’s governing body, the FIA, tasked with tackling challenges including environmental sustainability and safety, the latter being central to the sport’s regulatory environment. He spent two years working on the energy efficiency regulations adopted by Formula 1 in 2014.

Since 2012 Mark has focused on his Formula 1 consulting business, Performance Insights, working with a range of clients across the sport. He is also a columnist, feature writer and broadcaster for GP Racing Magazine and Autosport, part of the global Motorsport Network.

He has written three books, Grand Prix - The Last 25 Years (WH Smith, 1999) and two editions of The Business of Winning (Kogan Page, 2014) with a fully revised, 2nd edition published on 3rd October 2021. Mark also collaborated with David Coulthard on his Sunday Times Best Seller The Winning Formula (Blink Publishing, 2018). Between 2005 and 2010 Mark was a consultant to Pixar on its CARS and CARS 2 movies.

Mika Hakkinen

Two-times Formula One Champion Mika Hakkinen scored world titles in 1998 and 1999 for the all-conquering McLaren-Mercedes Benz team.

With 20 Formula One race victories and 51 top-three podium finishes to his credit, he ranks among the most successful drivers of all time and is widely regarded as one of the fastest drivers of the modern era.  

Mika subsequently competed in the German Touring Car Championship until 2007.

Since then, he has remained closely involved in Formula 1 through brand ambassadorships and business interests including driver management. In 2022 he has joined the Viaplay F1 broadcast team in the nordic region, providing expert insight.  

He continues to be a familiar presence at Grands Prix and one of the most popular personalities in Formula 1.

Jake Hill

Regarded as one of the most skilled drivers on the BTCC grid, Jake Hill enjoyed his most successful season to date in 2022 with MB Motorsport finishing 3rd in the championship & claiming the Goodyear Wingfoot award for most pole positions across the year.

His sensational BTCC debut came in 2013 at Croft. Immediately competitive, Jake made his mark by taking a win in the Jack Sears trophy in his very first race, following that up with a further podium finish in the second race.

Following his successful 2019 campaign, Jake joined the BRDC SuperStars programme and proved himself as a leading contender in the BTCC combined with MB Motorsport.

Robin Horsfall

Focus: Overcoming adversity, bullying and PTSD

Robin Horsfall has led an amazing life. During his talks, attendees will discover fascinating stories from his extensive military career and how they relate to his underlying theme of overcoming adversity.

He was a boy soldier at fifteen, a paratrooper at seventeen and an SAS soldier at twenty-one. He fought in five wars as a front line soldier, was a Royal Marine Sniper and a top bodyguard. He was also one of the UK’s first Paramedics and ran clinics all over the world. He once built a medical centre in the centre of the Guyana Jungle, but there is more.

In 1992 he started to teach martial arts and for twenty years taught thousands of children karate in South West London building the largest independent children’s karate group in Europe. He broke his neck and while recovering went to Surrey University as a mature student (56) and graduated three years later.

He is currently active fighting for the Northern Ireland Veterans Movement a battle he has led for six years. He recently survived bladder cancer, writes books and now lives in South Wales.

Paddy Lowe

Focus: Innovation and the Future of Sustainable Fuels

Paddy Lowe is one of the most successful engineers and technical directors in Formula 1 history having amassed no few than 158 Grand Prix wins and 12 World Championship titles during a stellar career with the Williams, McLaren and Mercedes teams.

During his award winning career he has worked with many of the sport’s leading stars including Niki Lauda, Ayrton Senna, Mika Hakkinen and Fernando Alonso.  As Technical Director of Mercedes he oversaw 53 Grand Prix victories for seven times World Champion Lewis Hamilton, also working with 2016 World Champion Nico Rosberg.

After returning to Williams as Chief Technical Officer in 2017, Paddy developed a strong interest in helping the sport deliver its environmental sustainability targets. This led him to establish Zero Petroleum in 2020, five years before Formula 1 plans to abandon fossil fuels.

In 2021 his work with the Royal Air Force on Project Martin led to the world’s first flight powered entirely by synthetic fuel. This was produced by extracting hydrogen from water and carbon from atmospheric carbon dioxide.

Charlie Martin

Charlie Martin is a British racing driver and LGBTQ+ activist, she has raced successfully in multiple disciplines including single seaters, prototypes and GT cars.

In 2020 she made LGBTQ+ history as the first ever transgender driver to compete in the ADAC TOTAL 24hr Nürburgring-Rennen, where she finished 4th in class racing a BMW M240i. In 2021 she finished 3rd in the Praga class of the Britcar Endurance Championship.

Her ambition is to make LGBTQ+ history by competing at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. She has overcome huge adversity since transitioning mid way through her career, and works with leading LGBTQ+ charities Stonewall (Sports Champion), Mermaids (Patron) and Athlete Ally (ambassador) to improve visibility, acceptance and inclusion in motorsport.

Charlie has featured in Vogue Magazine (July 21) and was listed in the Vogue 25, a cele- bration of inspiring women shaping the World in 2021 and beyond. She was also in- cluded in the Pride Power list, OUT Magazine 100 & Attitude 101.

Neil Martin

Richard Morris

Stu Olden

Marc "Elvis" Priestley

Brian Sims

By applying the American Professional Selling Skills, learnt initially as a Xerox Salesman and as the UK Sales Training Director of the American Corporation, to his passion for motor-racing, Brian built a careers one of the most successful exponents of sponsorship acquisition in F1 and international motorsport. Following a successful professional career racing touring and sports cars, Brian established South Africa’s first ever racing driver school and managed the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit before moving into F1 as Marketing Director of the Lola F1 Team.

Later, as Head of Motorsport for a international sports agency API, Brian personally secured the multi-million pound sponsorship deals that brought global brands FedEx and Gillette into F1 for the very first time, as sponsors of the Benetton F1 Team.

He went on to become the Benetton F1 Team’s Commercial Director. He has published two highly-acclaimed books on sports sponsorship. His autobiography was published in 2019. As the Founder of the prestigious Motorsport Industry Association (MIA), Brian was presented with an Honorary Doctorate by Birmingham City University in 2018 for services to the motorsport industry.

Ellis Spiezia

Ruben Stanislaus

Ruben Stanislaus is a young British born racing driver of Grenadian heritage and is currently driving a Praga R1 in the Zeo Prototype Series. He is the star of the award winning documentary Born To Race, which aired on BBC One in 2022 and is currently being shown all over the world on the BBC IPlayer. After a successful career coming up the ranks in karting, Ruben has successfully made the leap straight into cars, regularly finishing on the podium and winning a number of races that he has participated in.

With the current push for motorsport to be more inclusive in terms of racial diversity, Ruben speaks of his own experiences coming through the sport and how he is looking to achieve in own racing goals, as well as, making a change both on and off track. Whilst filming the Born to Race documentary, Ruben was given exclusive access to the Mercedes AMG F1 team and interviewed 7x Formula One World Champion Sir Lewis Hamilton, also of Grenadian descent, where they discussed a wide range of subjects about both his and Ruben's career. Claire Williams

Claire Williams OBE is the former Deputy Team Principal of the Williams Formula 1 racing team. Claire grew up around Formula 1 since her late father, Sir Frank Williams, was the founder of the Williams Grand Prix Engineering F1 team, winning nine Constructors’ Championships and seven Drivers’ Championships.

Claire has been among the most prominent and successful women in recent Formula 1 history, taking the team to successive third places in the Constructors’ Championships in just her second and third years in charge.

During her tenure, Claire was a keen advocate for greater diversity and inclusion within her own team and across the sport as a whole. Since the successful sale of the Williams F1 team in 2020 Claire has provided consultancy services to brands entering Formula 1 and shares her experiences of running a contemporary F1 team with corporate clients.

Claire was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the Queen’s 2016 Birthday Honours List in recognition of her services to Formula One.

Jacques Villeneuve

The son of Canadian Formula 1 star Gilles Villeneuve, one of Enzo Ferrari’s favourite drivers and renowned for his spectacular driving style, it was perhaps inevitable that Jacques would follow his father into racing.

Driving for Williams, Jacques won the 1997 Formula One World Championship against Ferrari’s Michael Schumacher. Jacques remains the last driver to win a World Championship for the Williams team.

His Formula One career continued until 2006, including 6 years at BAR Honda, which was a team he co-founded. Today that that is the dominant Mercedes AMG F1 team. Since then, he has competed in a wide range of motorsport series. This included twice competing in the famous Le Mans 24 hours sports car race, finishing 2ndin 2008.
